Pictures, Pictures, And More Pictures!

There hasn't been much going on lately but I realize now that we have a baby I can never post enough pictures. I don't have too terribly much to blog about--we've been sticking pretty close to home these days but everyone has been on my case for pictures, pictures, pictures! So here you guys go..

A Week Old Already!

It's hard to believe that Easton is already a week old--and what a busy week it has been! Sunday we headed to Minnesota where Easton got to meet his other set of grandparents. I know, I know, everybody calls me crazy for making a 6 hour road trip with a 4 day old baby but Lee's uncle passed away the morning he was born so we had a funeral to attend. The car ride actually went very well! I must say this has been the absolute happiest week of my entire life--becomming parents is the best decision we've ever made. Lee is also loving every moment of it (yes, even the diapers). Just yesterday he brought home a gift from a farmer he knows from work--Easton's first fishing rod! Now he's just trying to figure out how to mount a car seat in the tree boat/deer stand. Boys, I tell ya! Until next time..

Final Blog Before Baby!

Here are the last installments of "the bump" pictures! Hopefully (fingers crossed!) this will be my last blog before we become parents. I had a weekly appointment yesterday with Jan and her exact words were, "I will be shocked if you make it past next week's appointment.". Jaw drop!!!!!!!!!!! My actual due date is not until Thanksgiving and I keep telling her if I have to go that long I'm going to be upset with her because she has me so excited that it will be much sooner but apparently there's "no possible way I'll make it that far". She said the baby's head is very low and is ready to come at any time, hurray! So for those of you who haven't yet, please click on the link to our baby pool and cast your vote! It's so much fun to see everybody's guesses, especially since we don't know the sex. And as for me, well..I guess I better go install the car seat..

Cast & Blast 2009

It sure has been a busy October! Wade, his buddy Jeff, and the kids came to stay with us on the 14th for what the boys like to call "Cast & Blast"--all the pheasant hunting and fishing they can cram in to a weekend.

Mya, Hunter, Jeff, Lee, & Wade

Mya was a trooper and hunted with the boys all day Thursday, so Friday we decided to have a girl's day and went to lunch and did a little shopping. That evening we all went out to what I thought was going to be dinner but turned out to be a surprise birthday party for me. What can I say, my husband and friends are lying little sneaks and I love them all dearly!

My sweet cake--it caught on fire!

Friday night Caleb joined the party and came to spend the night so he could hunt with the boys Saturday. 41 birds in 3 days--I think "Cast & Blast 2009" was a success! Oh yes, and I almost forgot--Lee even shot an albino pheasant! It was pretty cool even though I personally think they are a bit creepy looking!

Our Other Nephew and Nieces!

Here is a picture of our nieces and nephew--they are Lee's sister's kids. They all live by Fargo so we don't get back to see them nearly as often as we'd like. Boy they sure are getting big! They are expecting a new brother or sister the end of January.

Schlichting Family Weekend!

This weekend the Schlichting side of the family got together to celebrate Grandma Ruby & Grandpa Jim's 50th Wedding Anniversary! We stayed at a hotel in Bismarck and spent the weekend visiting, swimming, eating, and laughing. I'm not sure who was more exhausted when it was all over, the kids or the parents! All in all it was a great weekend--I think we need to make this a yearly tradition!
